How My Journey Began
I grew up in an environment where opportunities were not a given. Music quickly became my outlet — my language and my strength. After high school, I pursued a vocational program in music, followed by studies at the Conservatory of Haarlem, where I graduated as an e-Musician.
Still, I wanted more than just to perform — I wanted to build bridges. Between people, between cultures, between potential and opportunity.
In the years that followed, I took on various roles: artist, teacher, creative director, policy advisor, and entrepreneur. I worked in youth care, special education, and the public sector, and served on several advisory committees for arts and culture. I was the director of Stichting Music Matters and currently serve on the Supervisory Board of the Rotterdam Knowledge Center for Cultural Education (KCR) and as a board member of the South Holland Liberation Festival.
I’ve developed talent programs, led organizations, and performed on renowned Dutch stages. But regardless of the role, one thing has always remained constant: I use music to connect and to empower.
Today, I am the director of a music school, the founder of Stichting Hip-Hoop, and the owner of a creative studio. I coach young creators, develop programs with social impact, and explore how music and therapy can both heal and inspire. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Therapy at Codarts in Rotterdam.
